The scope of work consists of the construction of a solar powered Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon west of the intersection of Powers Street and N. Colony Blvd to address pedestrian safety along the trail while crossing the roadway, and any other work deemed necessary by the City of The Colony.Removal of the existing pedestrian crossing advisory signal 550' east of the intersection is included as well. The work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization, preparation of right-ofway, traffic control, demolition, sidewalk, barrier-free ramps, pedestrian hybrid beacon signal, and pavement markings and signage The successful bidder will be required to furnish Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of amount bid from a Surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas, within fifteen (15) days of the bid award. The BID BOND must be submitted five days prior by Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the amount bid to Cherise De Los Santos, Purchasing Manager The maintenance bond shall be in the amount of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) or ten (10%) percent of the amount of the contract, whichever is greater, but not to exceed one hundred (100) percent of the contract amount. The City of The Colony reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City.
