Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The Work outlined in this RFT is for the replacement of cross-road culverts including all necessary restorations within the road right-of-way, culvert end-treatments, localized ditching, erosion and sediment control measures, restoration seeding and/or sod restoration, curb replacement, and asphalt restorations. Reconnection of two (2) culverts to existing catchbasins. The City will require full removal and replacement of 67 culverts. Based on the amount of Work, it is anticipated that the Contractor may be required to mobilize multiple crews to complete the Work within the allowable Work schedule. The City Project Manager will provide a final list of working locations at the pre-construction meeting. For each culvert replacement the Contractor shall mobilize the appropriate labour and equipment necessary, based on the culvert size, condition of the surrounding environment, and to carry out the Works in an efficient manner, while imposing minimal impact to the roadway traffic users and the adjacent natural environment.
