Lake Cachuma Emergency Pumping Facility Secured Pipeline Project Cachuma Operation and Maintenance Board is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide construction services for the Lake Cachuma Emergency Pumping Facility Secured Pipeline Project. The work to be performed under the contract awarded shall consist of the installation of a new bottom-mounted 36-inch diameter intake pipeline and a flexible 36-inch connection pipeline in waters of Lake Cachuma, California. The pipelines are fabricated from high density polyethylene pipe. The main pipeline starts at the intake tower at an elevation of 660 feet where it connects to the flange of an existing steel intake box. The Intake pipeline that is the subject of this work runs offshore approximately 3,600 feet along a selected route where it connects to an intake screen. The connection pipeline ties into the main pipeline approximately 420 ft before the intake screen structure. Both pipelines are to be assembled at a site at Lake Cachuma on shoreline property operated by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. The pipelines shall be towed to the installation site and installed by a Contractor selected installation method. B. Services furnished by the Contractor shall be performed in accordance with best industry practice and the plans and specifications included in this Invitation for Bid (IFB), which shall become part of the contract awarded. The services provided by the Contractor shall include all labor, materials, equipment and other incidentals necessary to accomplish the following tasks. C. The following Pipe Installation Work and Final Completion Work sections describe assembly of the pipeline, pipeline submergence, intake screen deployment pile driving, and pipeline to pile connections.
