The City of Santa Barbara (City) is inviting proposals from qualified civil engineering and environmental firms to provide preliminary engineering, environmental, and survey services for the Lower Eastside Community Connectivity Active Transportation Plan (Plan). The purpose of these services is to examine the feasibility of constructing a pedestrian and bicycle overcrossing over the US Highway 101 (US 101) from the Lower Eastside neighborhood to the vicinity of Dwight Murphy Field. The preliminary engineering, environmental, and survey work will establish the project scope and cost estimates for future grant applications. The Consultant will be responsible for examining the site constraints and developing design options that address the challenges of this site.
