Site work and new construction of a medical facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 600,000-square-foot, nine-story above grade, 350-room medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
Construction of a 9-storey, 600,000 sq ft health centre with space for over 350 private rooms. Construction of a new parking structure on site. The redeveloped health centre will increase capacity for post-acute care. The project will also involve the construction of a new parking structure as a separate early works project, construction of a standalone central utility plant, and the redevelopment of corporate services, facilities, materials management and nutrition and food services. Retaining existing hospital facilities to continue to provide high quality care to this community. TIMELINE: Excavation and foundation work are ongoing. Awarded trades are not being released for publication. Patient tower occupancy and final completion is planned for December 2028. On February 8, 2024, Trillium Health Partners (THP) and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) reached a key milestone in Canada's largest health infrastructure renewal project Trillium HealthWorks. EllisDon Corporation (EllisDon) was awarded a fixed-price contract of $1.3 billion to build and finance the future home of The Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre.
