This Request for Qualifications is for two projects SM-1057 and SM-1058, approximately consisting of: 1. SM-1057 Arts Elevator Addition (see Attachment A) Design and Engineer the addition of an elevator/structure to be added to the existing Arts Building at the Cal State University San Marcos campus. The new elevator shall be connected to the interior minimizing renovation space. The elevator must be designed to meet all building codes, third party reviews and agency approvals. Deliverables to be consistent with those required by the State Fire Marshall and campus permitting as agreed with the campus representative. Services shall include all but not limited to, Design, Permitting, Construction, Procurement of scope of work, close-out and warranty phases. Architect shall provide complete architectural, engineering, and consulting services as required to construct all details for the Project in accordance with good practice, applicable building codes, CSU guidelines, and this RFP. 2. SM-1058 Science Hall 1 Elevator Addition. (see Attachment A) Design and Engineer the addition of an elevator/structure to be added to the existing Science Hall 1 Building at the Cal State University San Marcos campus. The new elevator shall be added to the building connected to the interior minimizing renovation space and must be designed to meet all building codes, third party reviews and agency approvals. Deliverables to be consistent with those required by the State Fire Marshall and campus permitting as agreed with the campus representative. Services include all but not limited to, Design, Permitting, Construction, Procurement of scope of work, close-out and warranty phases. Architect shall provide complete architectural, engineering, and consulting services as required to construct all details for the Project in accordance with good practice, applicable building codes, CSU guidelines, and this RFP. The Direct Construction Cost Budget is approximately; SM-1057 Arts Elevator Addition $ 1,768,000.00. SM-1058 Science Hall 1 Elevator Addition $1,656,000.00. o The contract duration for the Phase 2 agreement is approximately 1040 calendar days for each project. The budget and duration will be established in the RFP. o The contract specifies that liquidated damages are $1,500.00 for each calendar day construction completion is late. o The Design-Builder is required to be licensed in the state of California with a 'B' license and registered to bid public works with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). o The Design-Builder is required to be prequalified by the CSU Prequalification Program Administrator; refer to RFQ Section 4. o The Architect is required to be licensed in the state of California. o The Architect is required to be prequalified by the Trustees, and may visit the following website for more details and contact information.
