Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Orem, Utah. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility; and library.

As of June 1, 2022, the project has been awarded, however, information rgearding the awarded general contractor has not been disclosed at this time. Utah Valley University is requesting bids for the construction of the following project: Remodel of the the Family Study Area in the Fulton Library by a licensed general contractor. The scope of work/specifications for this project are attached to this IFB in the Buyer Attachments section. Specifications may include: architectural drawings or renderings, engineer drawings or specifications, or any other documents that describe the work to be performed. An electronic copy of a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, made payable to Utah Valley University on AIA's bid bond form A310-2010, must be uploaded and attached to your bid response. If the bid bond is not furnished with the bid, the bid will be considered non-responsive. The awarded contractor, simultaneously with the execution of the Contractor's Agreement, will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond on AIA bond form A312-2010: - A full 100% Performance Bond covering the faithful execution of the contract. - A full 100% Payment Bond covering all obligations arising thereunder. Bonds must be provided prior to the commencement of any work. Failure to provide the required bonds will result in the contract being cancelled. Per Utah Code 63A-5b-605, the three apparent lowest bidders on the publicly posted bid tabulation shall provide a list of subcontractors to University within 24 hours of the public posting time of the bid tabulation (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and State of Utah holidays). See the UVU Subcontractors List Form for further instructions. Bids will be reviewed to confirm that they conform to the requirements of this IFB. Non-responsive bids will be eliminated from consideration. Bid pricing will be evaluated for all responsive bids. Bids will be ranked in order based on total price. The University will award a contract to the bidder whose bid is determined to be the lowest cost and meets all requirements and specifications. The University may choose to award contracts to multiple bidders if it would be in the best interest of the University. From the issue date of this IFB until a contractor is selected and a contract award is made, bidders are not allowed to communicate about the subject of this IFB with any University administrator, faculty, staff, or members of the Board of Trustees except the Procurement Official assigned to this IFB, other UVU Procurement & Contract Services staff members, individuals authorized by the Procurement Official, and University representatives during pre-bid meetings. If a violation of this provision occurs, the University reserves the right to reject the bidder's submission. Question Submission Close Date: 4/21/2022 7:00 AM MDT
