Project includes renovations including floor plan changes, new entry vestibule, new canopy, masonry work, new wood studs and gypsum board partitions, updated finishes, new plastic laminate casework, and revisions to the mechanical, plumbing, electrical, data and fire protection systems as shown on the Contract Documents prepared by Springpoint Architects, P.C. and their consultants, dated April 7, 2022.Stipulated Sum Bids will be received for the Work, which includes selective demolition, general construction and electrical construction and all related and miscellaneous work, which will be awarded under a single contract. Potential Bidders or material suppliers that make direct contact with any MCCSC employee or Board Member are at risk of disqualification.
Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, a Cashier's Check or a Bid Bond (A310) in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the total bid made payable to the Monroe County Community School Corporation.
PERFORMANCE BOND AND LABOR AND MATERIAL PAYMENT BOND: Within five (5) days of being awarded the Bid and prior to execution of the contract, the successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred-ten percent (110%) of the total bid amount with an approved surety company. Bonds shall remain in full force and effect for a period of 12 months after final completion of the contract.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All Bids may be held for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days before awarding Contracts.
