BASE BID: Project is the removal of 1-1/2 inches of spray-on acoustical material and its replacement with perforated metal panels at the ceiling of high school gymnasium, salvaging and working around existing light fixtures, ceiling fans, speakers, HVAC diffusers and supports of basketball backstops. ALTERNATE BID #1: Remove and replace existing light fixtures, including the provision and installation of one additional fixture as well as the relocation of one existing fixture. Wiring, conduit and back box work is commensurate with the work of the new fixture and relocated fixture. Lighting controls and circuiting to remain. ALTERNATE BID #2: Provide and install mechanism for automatic flag lowering, including flag, mechanism, conduit, wiring, remote control, key switch control and all other accessories for a completely functional system. ALTERNATE BID #3: Provide and install conduit, wiring, back boxes, and make final connections related to (6) six new basketball backstops being provided and installed by others at same time as ceiling work. Controls of backstop winches will be by key switch and touch screen. The Owner requires the project to be substantially complete by Friday, July 29, 2022. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security of a sum no less than 10 percent of the Bid Sum. The bid security shall be either certified check, cashier's check, bank money order or bid bond issued by surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Hereinafter this bid security shall be referred to as the bid bond. Submit two copies of your Bid on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the Owner.
