The City of Hays is accepting sealed bids for the construction of a 40' x 90' equipment storage building for the Solid Waste Recycling Facility located at 1780 W 55th St, Hays, Ks. The RFB can be found on the City of Hays portal. The RFB has further details regarding the scope of the project. o Owner to provide: o Removal of vegetation/topsoil and construct compacted building pad to within 6" of finished floor slab grade o All electrical service/components o Final grading around exterior perimeter of building after construction o Contractor to provide: o Building foundation shall be designed to meet the as-bid structure specifications o Concrete floor to be minimum 5" in thickness, 4000 psi concrete over appropriately graded base material. Concrete to include fiber mesh, or welded wire fabric, or minimum 3/8" rebar on two-foot centers in slab. o Minimum 5" thick x 6' concrete apron along entire south side of building (6' x 90') o Pre-engineered steel or post frame building meeting minimum requirements of the 2015 International Building Code o Minimum 40' wide x 90' long with 14' sidewalls o Appropriate gutter and downspouts o Roof and Wall sheeting to be minimum 29 gauge painted steel. Owner to choose color from standard manufacturer's colors. o Walls to be insulated with Prodex, Solex LT, or equal insulation providing a minimum R-Value of 13 o 4-12'x12' insulated overhead doors, metal clad on interior with openers, all located on the south side (Electrical for openers will be by others) o 1-3'x6'8" steel clad, in-swing entry door with double-bore prep for standard lockset and deadbolt - Location of door to be determined prior to construction o Vented ridge cap o Ridge light or minimum 80' of sidelight panel
