Renovation of a mixed-use development in Clear Lake, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; and warehouse / distribution facility.
Description of Work The Work generally consists of the removal of existing membrane roofing, flashing, roof insulation and accessories and replacement with a new membrane roof with insulation and accessories as detailed in the project drawings and specifications. Facility is an equipment storage building with a concrete roof deck of approximately 11,660 SF area. The Engineers opinion of probable construction cost for the Work falls within a range of $150,000 to $180,000. Contract Time Information After issuance of Notice to Proceed the Contractor shall complete the work by November 30, 2022. This project is subject to liquidated damages as prescribed within the project manual. Bid Security and Other Bonds Bid security in the amount of Ten percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. Award of Contract All proposals submitted in accordance with the instructions presented herein will be subject to evaluation. Bids may be held by the Airport Commission for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of conducting the bid evaluation. The Owner will base the award of contract upon the lowest aggregate sum proposal submitted from those bidders the Owner confirms as being responsive and responsible.
