This project consists of the replacement of four (4) valves and suction side piping of the return activated sludge (RAS) system in the Blower Building at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Questions shall be directed in writing to the City of Fostoria via email at jamesonb@fostoriaohio.gov and wwtp@fostoriaohio.gov . Checks shall be made payable to "City of Fostoria, Ohio" and all documents become the property of the prospective Bidder, with no portion of said payment being refunded. Digital copies (pdf) of the plans, specifications and contract documents can be emailed to the prospective Bidder at no charge by contacting the City of Fostoria Assistant WWTP Superintendent at jamesonb@fostoriaohio.gov. Should a Bidder find any discrepancies in or omissions from any of the documents, or be in doubt as to their meaning, he shall advise the City of Fostoria Assistant WWTP Superintendent in writing, who will issue necessary addenda or revised drawings as may be appropriate. No request for clarification/information will be accepted after three (3) days before the date on which bids are due. Bids shall be sealed and marked as "Fostoria Wastewater Treatment Plant Return Activated Sludge Valve and Piping Replacement" and mailed or delivered to the City of Fostoria at 1301 Perrysburg Road, Fostoria, Ohio 44830. The successful Bidder will be required to execute an affidavit relative to delinquent personal property taxes pursuant to the provisions of Section 5719.042 of the Ohio Revised Code prior to entering a contract with the City. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the bid opening. The City of Fostoria, Ohio intends to accept the lowest responsible bid for the project but reserves the right to reject any or all, or parts of any or all bids and to waive any minor informalities in any bid, or to make the award in the best interest of the City.
