The Town of Benson is requesting proposals to haul crushed stone and gravel for roads for the period of April 18, 2022, to July 1, 2022. All material is to be delivered to Benson's Town Garage on Hulett Hill Road or directly to the road job site in Benson at the discretion of the Road Commissioner. Material delivered to road sites will need to be spread on the road. The estimated total quantity is 3,000 ton. All materials to be trucked are owned by the Town of Benson. Please provide price quotes for hauling both products from two different sources: Wallingford Crushed Stone, Route 7 S, Wallingford, Vermont, and Casellas, Route 133, Clarendon Avenue, Clarendon, Vermont. (Most of the material will originate from this point). Information requested: Price quote per ton for hauling crushed stone from 4/18/22 to 7/1/22; Price quote for hauling directly to road job sites in Benson; Number of tons per day you are capable of moving; Proof of insurance required prior to a bidder being awarded a contract. The Selectboard reserves the right to refuse any and all price quotes.
