Fuel pumps, under dispenser containment, fuel, vapor and secondary piping, underground storage tank, fuel system wiring, sumps, drop tubes, fill buckets, vapor recovery and other related equipment inspection, testing, and repairs. The contractor shall coordinate all work with the Monterey Bay Air Resources District (MBARD) including inspection notification and permitting. The work shall be located in the Presidio of Monterey, Ord Military Community and or any other site managed or operated by the City of Monterey. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, fuel pumps, under dispenser containment, fuel, vapor and secondary piping, underground storage tank, fuel system wiring, sumps, drop tubes, fill buckets, vapor recovery and other related equipment inspection, testing, and repairs. The contractor shall coordinate all work with the Monterey Bay Air Resources District (MBARD) including inspection notification and permitting. The Contractor, at the time of signing and executing the contract, shall execute and file with the City a performance bond to the satisfaction and approval of said City, in a sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract conditional upon the faithful performance of the contract. For additional information, see Guarantees elsewhere in these specifications. The Contractor, at the time of signing and executing any contract in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), shall execute and file with the City a payment bond (public works labor and materials bond) to the satisfaction and approval of said City, in a sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract in accordance with Public Contract Code 9550 et seq. The contract with a successful bidder will be for a term of one (1) year with a not to exceed annual funding limit of $149,999.00. The agreement will include an option for an additional two (2) one-year extension with a not to exceed annual funding limit of $149,999.00. The total term of this agreement will not exceed three (3) years. The amount of work to be requested beyond scheduled inspections during the one year or optional additional year contract period cannot be well defined at this time. Work shall be issued through Work Orders. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids as the best interests of the City may dictate and, to the extent permitted by law, waive any irregularity in any bid. If there is any reason for believing that collusion exists among the bidders, the City may reject any or all bids.
