Balfour Beatty is excited to advertise the Royal High School MPR Plaza & Quad Upgrades. The MPR Plaza project consists of approximately 52,000sf renovation to the existing campus plaza from the currently constructed MPR building to the Gym. Scope includes demolition, site utilities, hardscape, and landscape. The Quad Upgrades consists of an approximately 61,000sf renovation to the existing campus East and West Quad areas. Scope includes demolition, site utilities, hardscape, and landscape. Construction is stated for 06/06/2022 Lease-Lease Back whereas Balfour Beatty Construction is the selected General Contractor for this project by the Simi Valley Unified School District Bids in excess of $500,000.00 must also have an approved prequalification with Balfour Beatty Construction prior to subcontract award. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not prequalified shall be nonresponsive and returned to the bidder For any subcontractor submitting a bid in the amount equal to or greater than $1,000,000.00, a bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on forms to be provided, a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Balfour Beatty Construction, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within ten (10) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. Bids in excess of $100,000.00 will require a Payment and Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount or subcontract amount, from a California Admitted Surety acceptable to Balfour Beatty Construction and not less than AM Best A- rating The Department of Industrial Relations, State of California ("DIR"), has determined the general prevailing rates of per diem wages applicable to this work, including holiday and overtime work and employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation and similar purposes.
