The Ontario Clean Water Agency has issued a Request for Bids (RFB) for provision of the services required to supply and install a stand-alone diesel generator system at the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) operated facility, Hilton Beach Water Treatment Plant, located at 3051 East Street, Hilton Beach, Ontario. The capacity in liters or number of running hours for the fuel tank will be determined by the generator being purchased, as the tanks are mounted inside and is determined by the supplier. The diesel generator that is being purchased must be a new installation designed to provide emergency power to the WTP equipment (i.e. well pumps, chemical pumps, control systems, building heating and lighting). The generators must meet the specified requirements during the initial and subsequent trial operation on-site, and during the routine operation of the generators throughout a one-year warranty period. The warranty will include the provision of modifications, expansion or replacement of the equipment and any required labour as necessary to meet the specified requirements, and will be provided at no additional cost to OCWA if identified to the successful Bidder during the warranty period. It is expected the work will start in July 2022, and be completed by no later than July 2023.
