Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Grimes, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
PN 211494 Base Bid: The Waterworks Park Improvements project includes the construction of approximately 5,500 CY of earthwork, 400 LF of RCP storm sewer between 12-inch diameter and 15-inch diameter, 5 storm sewer structures, 350 LF of 8-inch water main, 1,660 SY of 7-inch PCC pavement, 1,900 SY of 6-inch PCC sidewalk, 5,270 SF play turf surfacing, 6,630 SF splash pad surfacing, splash pad equipment, site shelter, landscaping, restoration, and other associated miscellaneous work. Alternate A: Includes the installation of street lighting around the proposed parking lot. Alternate B: Includes 3,630 SF poured in-place playground surfacing and furnishing and installing Playground Equipment. Alternate C: Includes the furnishing and installation of Nature Playscape Playground Equipment. Sealed proposals will be opened by the City Clerk and bids tabulated at 10:30 A.M. on the 17 th day of May, 2022, in said Grimes City Hall, 101 NE Harvey Street. Bids will be considered by the City of Grimes City Council at its meeting at 5:30 P.M. on the 24th day of May, 2022, in said City Council Chambers, 410 SE Main Street. The City Council may award a Contract at said meeting, or at such other time and place as shall then be announced.
