We are looking for a Concrete Polishing Contractor Services. We are looking for a three-year contract with a possibility to extend it for 2 years. Contract Services under this RFQ will only apply when RDPSD acts as the General Contractor on a project. When a General Contractor is awarded a project and flooring as part of their scope of work then the General Contractor reserves the right to employ any Flooring contractor of their choice. If asbestos is present, it is RDPSD's responsibility to remediate through a separate contract. Asbestos remediation is not part of this RFQ and contract. We are looking for a contractor to polish our concrete floors when required. Here are the specs we prefer for the polished concrete : -Grind using 20 grit diamond pads to remove adhesives and expose large aggregates (up to 1/4 " grind) -Grind using 50 grit diamond pads to remove the rough scratched from opening grind -Apply polyurethane/epoxy grout over the entire floor to fill cracks and any small holes created/exposed during the polishing process -Grind using 100 grit diamond pads to remove excess grout and scratches from the previous grit -Start polishing using 200 grit diamond pads -Apply liquid penetrating concrete densifier over the entire floor and leave to cure (preferred or equivalent equipment to use is HiperLith from Husqvarna) -Polish using 400, 800, and 1,500 grit diamond pads to achieve high gloss finish -Apply liquid penetrating concrete sealer over the entire floor ( preferred or equivalent equipment to use is Hiperguard from Husqvarna) Question Deadline: Mon Apr 25, 2022 12:00:00 PM (MDT)
