Consideration for award of the Bid will be made at 2:00 AM (Local Time), Monday, May 9, 2022 at the Loving County Commissioners Court Meeting, Loving County, Mentone, Texas. Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: Base Bid: Furnish and install 1 L.S. Performance and Payment Bonds; 1 L.S. Mobilization; 33.25 Ac. Vegetation Clearing; 41,110 L.F. of 5 Wire Barbed Wire Fence; 16 Ea. 5 Wire Barbed Wire Fence Cattle Guard Offsets; 1 Ea. 1/2 5 Wire Barbed Wire Fence Cattle Guard Offset; 64 Ea. 16-foot Gates; 3 Ea. "A" Braces; 37 Ea. "H" Braces; 71 Ea. Double "H" Braces; 33 Ea. "H" Braces with Side Braces; 2 Ea. Remove Existing Cattle Guards and Replace with Reinforced Concrete Slabs; 1 L.S. Remove existing facilities to complete the job; and Deduct 1 L.S. for use of part or all the "Materials On Hand". Alternate Bid: Furnish and install 1 Ea. in the event the property owner or lessee decides to not install a cattle guard in the cattle guard offset, the contractor shall modify the cattle guard offset in accordance with the Alternate Non-Cattle Guard Offset Opening Detail. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the OWNER, negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. If the Bid is not awarded at the previously mentioned meeting of the Loving County Commissioners Court on Monday, May 4, 2022 then the Bids may be held by the OWNER for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders.
