The owner has determined a prequalified list of general contractors. Scope : The Road Creek Bridge and irrigation ditch Siphon project. This project will install a new Owner-furnished bridge. The bridge is a 26' wide by 40' long steel beam bridge. The bridge will be installed in 2 sections, bolted together. Work will consist of 1) constructing a temporary bypass roadway to be used during construction; 2) excavating, installing, the new bridge including all required aggregate base and subbase supporting material, and necessary clearing and grubbing; 3) Install a 2' diameter pipe, 60' long, siphon that will drop down 7' from the inlet to carry EF-5 ditch water under the Road Creek Channel, then raise back up 6.5' to the outlet. ; 4) remove the temporary bypass roadway embankment following completion of construction; and 5) performing all other miscellaneous improvements as required to complete the necessary project work. The owners reserve the right to reject any and all bids and modify the project to meet available funding. Some work will be completed by the Custer County Road and Bridge department on this project.
