Site work, asbestos abatement and renovation of a municipal facility in Denver, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.
Estimated Construction Cost: Phase I $1,000,000 Phase II $1,000,000 This project is to replace all plumbing; waste, water and vent piping and low flow restroom plumbing fixtures for the restrooms on floors 8-4 Phase I and 3-3B Phase II. The primary demolition and abatement are under separate contract. Select demolition is identified on the attached bidding documents. The restrooms will all be gutted down to studs with electrical and mechanical to be demolished under this contract. General Contractor will be required to identify on the existing walls where new door openings are to be located for the demolition/asbestos contractor. The intent of this scope is to work and complete one set of women and men's restrooms per floor at a time, working from the 8th floor down to the 3B level restrooms. Abatement and demolition will be performed over weekend with the containment structure being setup on a Friday and containment structure being disassembled on the following Monday. Plumbers will be required to connect water, sewer and vent piping to keep services active for start of Business on Monday mornings. We anticipate 1 month for each floor and an overall schedule of 12 month duration to complete all restrooms on all floors. ADA push button door operators, signage, grab bars and accessible routes to all plumbing fixtures. o New 3070 hollow metal doors and door frames o New tile walls and floors o New mirrors and accessible soap dispensers o New toilet and urinal stall partitions o New hand dryers o New lighting o New low flow porcelain toilets, urinals, sinks, faucets, flush valves and showers - LEED point requirements o New solid surface countertops Construction Start 5/31/22 Construction Complete: 5/31/23 Date Email Questions Due 5/06 2:00 PM Date Email Answers Issued 5/09 12:00 noon If the construction value is $50,000 or greater a Bid Bond and Power of Attorney or Proposal Guaranty is required in an amount not less than 5% of the total Bid. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond on State Forms SC-6.22, Performance Bond, and SC-6.221, Labor and Material Payment Bond, or such other forms as State Buildings Program may approve for the Project, executed by a corporate Surety authorized to do business in the State of Colorado and in the full amount of the Contract sum.
