Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Swedesboro, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The proposed work includes the following major items Roadway Full Depth Reconstruction +/- 2,100SY Replacement of concrete curb +/- 850 L.F. Incidental construction of concrete sidewalk, inlets, driveway aprons, and handicap ramps. Each proposal bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent of the amount of the bid, of which, the amount of the bond or certified check need not exceed $20,000, made payable to the Borough of Swedesboro. This project is funded through the NJDOT 2021 Municipal Aid program and the successful bidder shall comply with NJDOT Rules and Regulations. Consent of Surety and Power of Attorney is required for the Performance Bond. All blank spaces in the proposal, except as otherwise noted, must be filled in; and no change shall be made in the phraseology of the proposals or of the item mentioned. All information that may be requested of the bidder in these specifications shall be included with this proposal. All erasures, interpolations, or other physical changes on the bid form shall be initialed or signed by the bidder. The successful bidder will be required to furnish, within ten (10) days after the award, a Surety Corporation Performance Bond or Letter of Credit equal to one hundred percent of the contract price. All applicable surety bonds or LOC required must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Department Circular 570-Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds) and such surety company must be acceptable to the Borough Solicitor and authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), P.L. 1963. C150 (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101, et. seq). The contractor is further notified that he must comply with P.L. 1977, c. 33, and submit a Disclosure Statement listing Stockholders with his bid. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with P.L. 1999 c. 238 Public Works Contractor Registration Act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with this act. The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with P.L. 2004 c. 57 and submit proof of a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act. This contract is subject to the provisions of the New Jersey Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq. Bids must be prepared on the standard proposal forms provided, in the manner designated therein. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/ or all bids, to waive any informality, or to accept the bid, which in its judgment, best serves the interest of the Owner. Alternatively plans and specifications can be sent via FedEx, or other courier, for an additional $25.00 to cover shipping and handling.
