Renovation of a municipal facility in Discovery Bay, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The term project is defined in Document 00700 - Abbreviations and Definitions, Paragraph 2. B. This project will repair the fish louver support frame system at the Skinner Fish Facility located at the Department's Delta Field Division in Contra Costa County. The work will be under water and consists of replacing or reinforcing components of the existing frames and other related work. The project shall be as specified and as shown and includes the following principal features: 1. Demolition of existing steel beam, support frames, and associated support elements, as shown. 2. Replace existing frames with aluminum structural tube frames. 3. Reinforce existing frame supports: a. Aluminum tube diagonal bracing to strengthen existing aluminum frames. b. Aluminum tube horizontal struts to strengthen existing aluminum frames. 4. Post-installed concrete anchors. 5. Replace parts of the existing aluminum walkway and railing system. C. Diving services for underwater performance and documentation of the work. Questions relating to bidding may be directed to the Contract Coordinator of DWR in Sacramento, at the contacts listed above. Questions or requests for clarification of the drawings or specifications shall be made in writing no later than 10 days before the scheduled opening of bids. Response, if warranted, will be sent to all prospective bidders on the DWR Planholder's List. A tour of the work site will be scheduled and conducted by the Department. Prospective bidders may attend the inspection trip on TUESDAY, April 26, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. The Department will provide a virtual inspection trip via self-guided viewing of presentation materials that are available on the website listed in Document 00300 - Information Available. A Bid Form booklet will be furnished only to prequalified bidders who meet the requirements of the State Contract Act and Document 00040 - Prequalification. Bid forms for this work are included in a separate booklet titled BID FORM, available only from the Department. Bids will be considered only if submitted for all the work required for the above project. Contractor's license classification required for this work: A . All bidders must submit the "Contractor's Safety Performance" questionnaire, on forms provided by the Department. To qualify, this must be completed and approved before bid documents can be issued to the Contractor. The Department encourages bidders to explore certification as a Small Business and/or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise and to utilize certified Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises during the contract term. ESTIMATED COST: $700,000 - $800,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
