This project is in Discovery Bay, California, which is in Contra Costa County. An 8-inch potable water main crosses beneath a surface waterbody between 5758 Marlin Drive and the Discovery Bay Marina Harbor (Marina Harbor). The project will be located on both ends of the tie-in on Marlin Drive and Marina Harbor in Discovery Bay. All work will be contained within the District's existing easement and the public right-ofway. The Marlin Drive side of the pipe crossing is located between two residential households. The lining activities on this side will take place inside of the District's 10-foot utilities easement. The Marina Harbor side of the pipe crossing is located in the commercial boat launch area. The lining activities on this side will take place in the open grass landscape area at the edge of the embankment inside the District's 10-foot utility easement and power easement area There is a broken 8-inch watermain that crosses beneath the surface water between Marlin Drive and Marina Harbor. The watermain has been isolated on both sides of the crossing and is currently not in service. The project will consist of installing approximately 350 feet of pipeline liner to fix the broken watermain and return it to service. All bidders and subcontractors shall hold a valid California Contractor's License for the Work specified. Contractor shall submit as part of the bid package a list of five (5) or more prior projects, which the Contractor has installed of similar size and capacity. Projects shall have been completed within the last five (5) years. Failure to submit prior project list, shall be grounds for rejection of the bid. The Contractor shall have 45 days from Notice to Proceed to complete the submittal process and 14 days to complete all work once notified by the Owner that the pipeline is ready for their work to commence.
