Request for Prequalification of Contractors - Fire Station 2 Rebuild Project Award: February 2025 The Fire Station 2 Rebuild Project Proposes to Rebuild Fire Station 2 at Its Current Location at 225 E. Harrison Street. The Project Will Include the Construction of Temporary Housing, Relocation of Existing Fire Station Personnel, Demolition of the Existing Fire Station No. 2, and Construction of a New Approximately 15,600 Square-foot Fire Station and Separate 7,800 Square-foot Apparatus/storage Facility. Temporary Housing on Site is Also Required for Station Personnel. The Site is Approximately 1.62 Acres and is Relatively Flat. The Site Development Includes Site Preparation and Demolition of Existing Structures, Underground Utilities, Landscape, Hardscape, Onsite and on-grade Driveways, Surface Parking Lot, Emergency Generator, Security Fencing, and Gates. The Project is Currently in the Construction Document Phase. The Architect for the Project is Pbk Architects, Inc. This Project May Be Partially Funded With Federal American Rescue Plan Act (Arpa) Funds. Construction is Anticipated to Be 24 Months Commencing in April 2025 With Completion of the Entire Scope of Work by April 2027. Other Details Contractors Shall Access the Documents & Attachments Tab to Review and Download All Prequalification Documents Posted on the Planetbids Platform for the Project. Contractors Shall Complete the Required Forms in Their Entirety and Submit Electronically Through Planetbids by the Due Date and Time. Contractor's Financial Statements Should Be Submitted as a Separate File From Their Response File. The City is Providing a Full Prequalification Document as a Single File and Individual Files With the Questionnaire, Contractor Certification, and the Contractor's Acknowledgment Form for Contractor's Convenience. Notes Please Allow Sufficient Time to Fully Complete and Upload All Documents Prior to the Submission Deadline. Prequalification of Bidders Documents Can Be Uploaded, Modified or Withdrawn Any Time Prior to the Submission Deadline. Planetbids Will Not Accept Late Prequalification Packages. No Exceptions Start Construction: April 2025 The City reserves the right to waive minor irregularities and omissions in the information contained in the pre-qualification application submitted, to make all final determinations, and to determine at any time that the pre-qualification procedures will not be applied to a specific future public works project. In addition to the requirements listed herein, the successful bidder must be willing and able to comply with the contracting requirements of the City. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Phase 1: Construction of the Apparatus Storage Building, installation of the Temporary Living Quarters, and associated site work. Phase 2: Demolition of the existing fire station, construction of the main fire station building, and associated site work. Phase 3: Landscaping, removal of Temporary Living Quarters, and remaining site work.
