Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of June 24, 2022, has not been awarded yet. It is expected to be awarded on July 7, 2022 The work to be performed under this contract includes the following: Base Bid The construction of a large, multi-use sports complex and recreation facility. Improvements include the construction of a 150,000+ square foot synthetic turf field, an approximate 3,000 square foot pre-fabricated concrete field house building, a paved access roadway, milling and resurfacing of an existing parking lot, construction of a new parking lot, new electric and water services and various landscaping improvements. Also included will be significant drainage improvements, fence construction, ball safety netting, new HMA and concrete walkways, considerable retaining wall construction, below grade electrical improvements including conduit and lighting foundations, and a bioretention basin to meet the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's stormwater regulations, among various other improvements. Alternate Bid 'A' The installation of light poles and fixtures (foundations to be included in the Base Bid) for the access road and parking lot areas as well as the installation of a lightning detection system. Alternate Bid 'B' The installation of sports field light poles and fixtures (foundations to be included in the Base Bid) for the synthetic turf playing area. Alternate Bid 'C' The installation of sports field light poles and fixtures (foundations to be included in the Base Bid) for the Pickleball court area. Alternate Bid 'D' The installation of an elevated, grandstand bleacher system with a press box for the north field (concrete foundation pad to be included in the Base Bid). Alternate Bid 'E' The installation of an elevated, grandstand bleacher system for the south field (concrete foundation pad to be included in the Base Bid). Parking Lot and Access Drive Lighting (Poles and Fixtures) . L.S. Lightning Detection System Alternate Bid 'B' . L.S. Synthetic Turf Sports Field Lighting (Poles and Fixtures) Alternate Bid 'C' . South Field Grandstand Bleachers Alternate Bid 'F' . 2 Unit Multi-Sport Scoreboard . 2 Unit Level 2 Car Charging Station (Dual Head) The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed by April 15, 2023. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the ONE LAKE STREET PARK. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder. B
