The City of Plantation, Florida seeks to obtain qualification packages from interested and qualified general contractors in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications stated or attached. The general contractor, at a minimum, must achieve the requirements of the Specifications or Scope of Work stated. The selected General Contractor(s) will be responsible for providing complete construction services for a wide range of projects and is responsible for the overall coordination of a project. The General Contractor (GC) provides material, labor, equipment, tools and services necessary for the project. The GC may hire specialized subcontractors to perform all, or some portion of the construction work. Bid Bond: No Once the Solicitation has been issued, a Cone of Silence will be implemented. At that time communication with the CITY is limited to the Procurement Department. During the solicitation advertising, review and evaluation process no person shall make any private or separate delivery of marketing information concerning any Bidder/Proposer to any elected officers of the City, members of the City staff or members of the Evaluation Committee. Cone of Silence shall terminate at the time the City makes an award to a Bidder(s)/Proposer(s) that becomes final as a result of no procurement protest being filed or takes other action that ends this solicitation. Any action of a Bidder/Proposer in violation of this may be cause for disqualification of the Bidder/Proposer. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the one that is in the best interests of the City.
