Site work and paving for a civil project in Alexandria, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
As of February 8, 2024, a design firm has been selected for the project. Bidding is estimated for mid-April of 2024 and construction is estimated for mid-June of 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: AUGUSTA AVENUE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS/ FAIRGROUND-MACHINE SHOP FLOOD CONTROL All bids must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashiers check of Bid Bond written by a surety or insurance company complying with R.S. 38.2218 C. The Bid Bond shall be in the favor of the Owner, and shall be accompanied by appropriate power of attorney. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount, written by a surety or insurance company meeting the requirements noted in R.S. 38.2219 A.(1)(a), (b) and (c) Project work shall consist of the following major items Drainage Structures (Reinforced Concrete Box, Reinforced Concrete Pipe and Catch Basins), Storm Water Pump Station, and Roadway Patching. The contract duration shall be two hundred forty days (240) working days The engineers estimated cost of construction is $2,489,124.17 No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids
