A. The project consists of (but is not limited to) the following: 1. Enhancing the indoor air quality for the school by means of upgrading the ventilation and filtration capabilities, increased filter efficiencies and adding bipolar ionization to various existing air handling units. The project includes providing power, wiring and conduit for new HVAC equipment, controls and devices. 2. Desigo Migration Scope of Work: Ensure that all Area Level Controllers have the most up to date firmware revisions. Area Level Controllers that are obsolete and can no longer accept firmware revisions will be replaced (Fast Forwarded) with their up-to-date hardware counterpart. Graphics will be transferred from the existing Apogee Insight system to the new Desigo System. Trends and Scheduled data will transferred over to the new Desigo System from the original system. The New Desigo Front End will be added to a Windows 10 Computer and will reside the Rapides Parish School Board Maintenance office. 3. Building Management System upgrade general scope of work: Replace any obsolete panels that can no longer receive firmware updates. These will be replaced with New BACNet capable BMS Panels. New BMS Panel will be added and installed throughout the campus. Through this new panel, Integrate to the Existing HVAC Units in in the school and integrate to the new BACNet thermostats that will be provided and installed by the control's contractor. BACNet Thermostats will allow for temperature sensing, humidity sensing, and start/stop control over the split systems. Humidity Sensors will be added in each building and will be connected to the nearest Area Level Controller. Conduit that is run above ground will be covered by the controls contractor. Any trenching and underground conduit will be covered by the Contractor. For J.B. Nachman Elementary School IAQ Enhancements Bids shall be accepted only from contractors who are licensed under LA-R.S.37:2150-2163 for the classification of MECHANICAL. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes. In accordance with R.S. 38:2212(8)(1), the provisions and requirements stated in the bidding documents shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount, written by a surety or insurance company meeting the requirements noted in R.S. 38:2219.A.( l )(a), (b) and (c). Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, provided on the specified form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570. Bidder shall show the Contractors license number and name of the project on the Bid envelope as required by Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2163.A.(l ). In accordance with in R.S. 38:2215. A., no Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening.
