As an alternative to mailing your bid or hand delivering, Madison will be accepting bids electronically. All electronic bids shall be emailed to Sue Beatte at sbeatte@cityofmadisonil.com The proposed work consists of milling, concrete pavement patching, hot-mix asphalt (HMA) surface course, ADA compliant sidewalk ramps, pavement markings, and other appurtenant items necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans. Digital copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained at no cost upon Engineer's receipt of a completed request/release form provided by Engineer. The successful bidder will be required to execute and present a performance and payment bond in a sum equal to the full amount of the contract. Bids must be for the contract as a whole. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the scheduled time of closing bids. All bids must be made on forms furnished by the City of Madison. Minority Business Participation There is a mandatory 10% minority participation in this project. Bidders on this project will be required to comply with the Minority Business Participation Requirements as set forth in Section 00 73 13 of the specifications. All applicable laws, ordinances, and rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract. This project is subject to availability of project funds and compliance with requirements of Madison County Community Development. The City of Madison reserves the right to waive, or not to waive, any irregularities in the bids; to reject any or all bids; and to determine which bid is the lowest and best for the improvements.
