Renovation of an educational facility in Washington, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of base bid roof work on roof areas 6,7,10,11,12,13 with area 14 as an alternate bid. All work is at Central SD 51 Intermediate School. The Architect will not receive bidder’s questions after 12 p.m. on April 29, 2022 unless the bid opening date is changed by addendum. Wet vac gravel off roof and make necessary repairs to field, penetrations, and flashings. Re-seal all pitch pans 2. Remove wet insulation per Infrared Scan. 3. Prepare all walls, penetrations, and expansion joints to be flashed. Prime with an asphalt primer, allow primer to dry tack free. Spud clean base at wall flashing back minimum 12” prior to new mineral flashing membrane. Terminate new flashings to wall using t-bar and cover with slip flashing made from 24 ga kynar, color to best match existing metal chosen by Architect. 4. Fasten down loose metal were indicated and install new counter flashing were indicated. 5. Install new leads on pipe penetrations that are defective. 6. Install 1-ply of SBS modified bitumen mineral cap set in cold adhesive at 5 gallons per square to flashings. Some flashings will require a complete tear out with a base ply and cap ply installed.
