Renovation of a municipal facility in Huntington, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Every mechanic, laborer, and workman employed by the CONTRACTOR or any subcontractor or other person about or upon the work contemplated by this contract shall be paid not less than the prevailing rate of wages as provided for by the Labor Law of the State of New York, to wit, there shall be paid to each employee engaged in work on the projects under this contract in the trade or occupation listed below not less than the wage rate set opposite name. If any other occupation is required on this work, the CONTRACTOR shall request the TOWN to furnish supplemental schedule covering such occupation. Question Deadline 05/16/2024 4:30 PM ET Questions, requests for information or interpretations concerning the drawings or specifications, or any aspect of the project must be addressed in writing to the DIRECTOR OF PURCHASING, TOWN OF HUNTINGTON, Town Hall, 100 Main Street, Room 209, Huntington, New York 11743, or email at purchasing@huntingtonny.gov or Fax # (631) 351-2833 and to be given any consideration, must be received by the close of business, 4:30 p.m. EST, at least five (5) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. No labourer, workman or mechanic in the employ of the CONTRACTOR or in the employ of a subcontractor or other person doing or contracting to do the whole or a part of the work contemplated by the contract shall be permitted or required to work more than eight (8) hours in any one calendar day or more than five (5) days in one week except in cases of fire, flood or danger to life or property, and other cases of extraordinary emergency within the meaning of and subject to the provisions and conditions specified in subdivision 2 of Section 220 of the Labor Law of the State of New York. Checks or bid bonds will be returned to all except to the three lowest formal bidders within ten (10) days after the formal opening of bids. which guarantees the faithful performance of the construction contract and payment.
