The owner has selected a Design Builder. The project is expected to start design in July 2023. REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES MUNICIPAL FACILITIES APRIL 1, 2022 I . Ge n e r a l The City of Joshua seeks proposals from qualified firms to provide Design-Build Firms from those interested in providing services for proposed facilities that may include a Municipal Complex (City Hall-Police Department), remodel and additions to the Animal Services Facility, Public Works Facility, Parks and Recreation Facility and other potential projects. Projects could be all or in part of the described facilities. Scope It is anticipated that the new Municipal Complex (City Hall-Police Department) will be approximately 20,000 square feet to be located on a new site (approximately 4 acres) owned by the city. The Animal Services Facility project involves approximately 2,500 square foot addition and renovations to the existing facility, including expanding exterior animal kennels. There is potential for a new relocated Animal Services Facility. Public Works and Parks and Recreation Facility size requirements are yet to be determined. Current facilities may need to be relocated in order to expand downtown development. The selected Design-Build firm will be responsible for all architectural planning and design, cost estimating, scheduling, preparation of all construction documents with required architect and engineering seals, and construction of the project. Term of Contract The contract completion date will be established based on ongoing feasibility studies and established by the City Council. I V .Evaluation of Proposals Proposals will be scored by city staff and provided to the City Council during the first City Council Meeting following completion of scoring and a prepared recommendation by the City Manager, time not to exceed 60 days from date of bid opening. V . Contents of Proposal Each firm that wishes to submit a proposal in response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) must submit six (6) copies of company's proposal, along with a cover letter of not more than two pages. ... Rejection of Submittals The City of Joshua reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or waive any irregularities.
