Renovation of a library in Cookeville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
Specifications- Preparation o Sand, scrape, etc. to remove cracked/loose paint. o Sand area to blend rough edges to a smooth finish. o Wipe down walls with TSP or campus approved product, where the wall shows signs of efflorescence. o Fill all nail holes, cracks, etc. o Caulk as needed or required. Areas to be painted: Walls, columns and soffits on the second floor. Walls and columns on the third floor. Stairwells: walls, risers, stringers and handrails. Door trim. Areas where the door trim is red, paint to match (SW7020 BlackFox). The Volpe Library Paint Project will be painted in zones. The project manager will work with the contractor and the library users to determine the zones. Areas of building to be protected during prepping of walls and painting: Floors Window Shades HVAC Units Any other Volpe Library property Tennessee Tech may terminate this Contract without cause for any reason by providing the Contractor at least thirty (30) days written notice before the effective termination date. The Contractor shall be entitled to receive compensation for satisfactory, authorized services completed as of the termination date, but in no event shall Tennessee Tech be liable to the Contractor for compensation for any service which has not been rendered. Tennessee Tech reserves the right to initiate negotiations with the next ranked Bidder should University cease doing business with the Bidder selected via this RFQ process.
