Reference Number 00003029001 The Northeast Region of the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry (the "Ministry") is requesting tenders from qualified consultants to conduct Waste Capacity Studies ("WCS") at eight (8) Waste Disposal Site ("WDS") as well as Design and Operations Plans ("D&O Plans") at six (6) of the ten (10) WDSs. WCSs are to be undertaken in accordance with Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks ("MECP") requirements and results will be returned to Ministry in detailed reports that will include the remaining life expectancy of the WDS, locations where trenching can still occur and the location of current filled trenches at the completion of the contract. Further, some WDS's will require a D&O Plan to help the Ministry in planning future operations of their WDS's. Scope of Work In accordance with the Certificate of Approval ("CofA") or Environmental Compliance Approval ("ECA") issued by the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks ("MECP") for Waste Disposal Sites ("WDS"), it is a requirement for certain WDS to not exceed a certain fill amount. Additionally, Design and Operation Plans assist the Ministry with operating and future planning of WDS activities. The results from the Waste Capacity Studies ("WCS") are to be supplied in individual site reports for NDMNRF to present to MECP for review and approval of site operations.
