furnishing of all materials and labor necessary for replacement of the windows at the Hulmeville Borough Hall, 321 Main Street, Hulmeville, Pennsylvania. The words Borough Hall Window Replacement must be printed clearly on the exterior of the envelope or sealed bid The award of the bid, if awarded, will be made by the Hulmeville Borough Council at its meeting at the Borough Hall on June 21, 2022 at 7:30 p.m., or at a subsequent meeting. The successful Bidder must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. This Project is Funded (in part) by Pennsylvania Gaming Revenues, from the Board of Directors of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Bucks, under the Municipal Grant Program created by Act 71 of 2004, as reenacted and amended, from language introduced by Senator Robert M. "Tommy" Tomlinson. Proposals will not be accepted from bidders who have defaulted on a public or private contract within the past five (5) years. Hulmeville Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or informalities in the bids, and to accept any bid Borough Council should deem to be in the best interest of the Borough. Several windows on the Borough Hall are deteriorating, including the sills and trim. The Council has decided to have all1 the windows (38 windows) replaced with new, energy efficient windows. The Contractor's scope of work for this project includes: o Supplying of all materials and tools necessary o Measuring the existing windows and purchasing replacements o Ensuring the proposed windows meet or exceed the current edition of the PA Uniform Construction Codes (building code and energy conservation code) o Providing the borough with a list of all windows, their measurements, and manufacturer's data sheets for the recommended windows, prior to placing the order o Repairing, and repainting as necessary, all interior or exterior locations scratched or damaged during the removal of the old windows and/or installation of the new windows o Clean up and dispose of all job-related debris (Note: The Borough trash dumpster shall not be used by the Contractor). REPLACEMENT WINDOWS The replacement windows (inserts) shall be of a high quality, Anderson, Marvin, or equivalent, meeting, at a minimum, the following requirements. o All windows shall be double hung with tilt feature for easy cleaning o Windows shall be constructed with the exterior being of a composite or fiberglass material o Both the interior and exterior shall be factory painted white o Windows shall be double-pane, low-E, with a proof of Energy-Star rating o The space between the windowpanes shall be Argon gas filled o The windows shall have simulated divided lites with a 2 over 2 vertical pane arrangement, The window in the first-floor ladies' restroom shall be provided with obscured (opaque) glass o The windows shall be provided with full size insect screens
