This specification describes the scope of work, services expected, and minimum qualifications of the Contractor. SCOPE OF WORK The Borough is requesting the installation of a standby generator to power the electrical system for the Borough Hall in the event of an electrical outage. The scope of work includes: o Providing and installing a new natural gas-powered standby generator. The generator shall provide nominally 26 kW of single-phase power for the building. The actual kW rating of the generator to be confirmed with the Borough. o Install gas piping from the gas meter to the generator. o Install a concrete pad to locate the generator. o Provide and install a 200-amp, automatic transfer switch. o Provide and install all wiring between the generator and electrical distribution equipment. o Provide and install up to 4 SSM load shed modules. Distribution of building loads to be agreed upon with the Borough. o Commission the system to ensure proper operation and train borough staff on any necessary periodic testing and maintenance requirements. SCHEDULE Contractor shall include with their proposal an estimate of the time to finish the installation and commissioning after a contract is awarded. Contractor's bid shall be valid for the duration of the contract with no escalation clause. The duration of the contract will be from the date signed by both parties and extend for 1 year from that date.
