Site work and paving for a civil project in Ramapo, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The current spillway handling the flow of water is inadequate. Storms with less frequency are causing the roadway to flood and damage the existing parapet wall in the vicinity of the spillway. It is the intention of this project to analyze and correct this condition by upgrading the spillway and rebuild that portion of wall that has been compromised. This project is included in the Rockland County's FY 2025-2030 Budget CIP. As of July 23, 2025, information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
