This Request for Proposal ("Bid") describes the City of Pomona's requirements for Janitorial Services to be performed at various city locations stated herein. The term of agreement shall be fixed for three (3) years from date of Council award, with the option to renew for up to two (2) additional years, in one (1) year increments. This Bid is to solicit bids from qualified custodial service providers (VENDOR), who shall, with his/her own staff of employees, provide the required custodial service at three (3) City locations. These areas are identified as Lot 1, Lot 2 and Lot 3 as designated below. The City is looking for VENDORS that will be able to provide quality, professional workmanship in custodial services and be able to comply with all the requirements, terms and conditions stated in this BID. Award of contract(s) may or may not be on an all or nothing basis and/or by geographic area. Selection will be based on the lowest responsive and responsible bidder that meets all the BID requirements, per Lot. The City reserves the option to make award(s) as it deems to be in the best interest of the City. The following table illustrates the general location of City facilities open for bid along with the corresponding lot number. Refer to Exhibit "A" of the Sample Agreement for lot locations and special requirements. DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS SOLICITATION THROUGH A THIRD PARTY. BIDDERS MUST BE LISTED ON THE CITY OF POMONA'S "PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS LIST" ON PLANETBIDS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS BID. IF BIDDERS FAIL TO REGISTER WITH PLANETBIDS PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A RESPONSE, THE CITY SHALL IMMEDIATELY REJECT ANY RESPONSE YOU SUBMIT IN REFERENCE TO THIS SOLICITATION. Attendance will be taken at all locations. Failure to attend the job walk for all locations within a Lot will result in the disqualification for that particular lot. For example, if you intend to bid on Lot 1 you must attend the job walk for the Library, City Hall and the Council Chambers. Per Section 2-971(2) of the Pomona City Code, any unauthorized contact by the Bidder during the bid process with an official or city employee, other than those shown on the bid, the Finance Director or Purchasing Manager, shall cause the Bidder to be immediately disqualified from participating in the bidding process. DO NOT USE THE CITY'S SEAL OR LOGO. DOING SO IS IN VIOLATION OF THE CITY'S CODE AND MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE SUBMITTAL. Section 2-5(3)a of the Pomona City Code prohibits the use of the City's Seal or Logo, or any reproduction thereof, for any purpose other than for official business of the city, its council, officers or departments. DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS SOLICITATION THROUGH A THIRD PARTY OTHER THAN PLANETBIDS. BIDDERS MUST BE LISTED ON THE CITY OF POMONA'S "PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS LIST" ON PLANETBIDS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS BID.
