20110405.0019 The Base Bid project generally consists of replacement of medium intensity edge lighting on Runway 5-23, and Taxiway A, two wind cones, and three lighted signs, including replacement of associated cabling, conduit, and regulators. Bid Additive 1 includes replacement of medium intensity edge lighting on Runway 14-32, and two lighted signs, including replacement of associated cabling, conduit, and regulators. Prevailing wage rates apply. Contractors must be bonded and insured to the level indicated in the Contract Documents. A Federal DBE participation goal is included in the Contract. The project is sales tax exempt. Technical questions shall be directed to Mary Kay Genthner of Passero Associates (E-mail: mkgenthner@passsero.com). Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price (combination of base bid or alternate bid plus add-on items) for the contract in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Preparation of Proposal. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the bid and to reject any and all bids. The engineer's estimate for this project is approximately $700,000 for the Base Bid, and approximately $280,000 for Bid Additive 1.
