Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Erie, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
**As of May 18, 2022 this project has not yet been awarded. Anticipated award date is on May 20, 2022. The Erie-Western Pennsylvania Port Authority (Port Authority) requests bids for the Sassafras Street Extension Contract No. 12510-2022-03. The Work includes upgrading the existing Sassafras Street Extension (one-way road) from Bayfront Parkway to West Front Street by conforming the roadway to meet City of Erie specifications. A new 10' wide multi-purpose concrete trail with railings along the old Myrtle Street roadway bed will also be included for pedestrian and bicycle connectivity. The roadway will consist of a 10' travel lane, 5' inside shoulder, 2' outside shoulder, and a 6' concrete curb ramp and 8' concrete sidewalk. The Work will also include a concrete retaining wall, railing, concrete curbs and sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, drainage, signing, pavement markings, and utility relocation. Sixty-day bid hold period applies, and ten percent bid security is required.
