Project location is the portion of stream identified as Conoy Creek, just north of Radio Road. The construction phase of the Green Meadows project implements our design plans for the stabilization of approximately 1,170 linear feet of the Conoy Creek. The key project deliverable is completion of the streambank stabilization activity. This includes site work (i.e. excavation and grading), erosion and sedimentation controls, and final seeding and landscaping. Stabilization activities include the removal of soil along the waterway torestore a ten-foot wide floodplain bench and transition slopes. A portion of the bank on the outside of a sharp curve will be lined with rip rap to mitigate erosive forces. The floodplain and transition slopes will be seeded and landscaped with native grasses and approximately 40 trees and 100 shrubs. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 5/5/2022 12:00 AM 1. Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Bid amount, the Workmen's Compensation Affidavit, Public Works Employment Verification Form, and an Anti-Collusion Affidavit must accompany the Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn during this period. The successful Bidder(s) shall be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Conoy Creek Restoration at Green Meadows project is subject to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Rates. Mount Joy Township hereby reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids submitted or any part thereof or item therein. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in bids received. NOTE: The Mount Joy Township Board of Supervisors have authorized LandStudies, Inc. to act on their behalf by opening the bids. Contracts will be awarded at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Mount Joy Township Board of Supervisors.
