A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Central Columbia School District (Owner) will be accepting quotations for construction services at their campus between Old Berwick Road and SR 11 in Scott Township.The project will generally consist of constructing a paved walking trail around the perimeter of the school district property. Incidental work includes grading, signage, tree clearing, line painting, etc. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded at the school board meeting on May 16th. All work shall be completed and ready for use on or before August 26, 2022. Notice is given that the project for which construction bids are being solicited hereby is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum wage rates as promulgated under provisions of said Act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of necessary work. Contractor shall and will be required to have the Act 34 State Police Criminal Record Check, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and also have an FBI fingerprint check in accordance with Act 114 for all prospective employees including subcontractors. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check in an amount no less than 10 percent of the Bid Sum. Bids will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid before the expiration of the 60-day period. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids.
