Renovation of a municipal facility in Madison, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This project includes exterior painting and maintenance repair of Morgan County's historic courthouse, as shown in the specifications and drawings sections. The courthouse was renovated and brought to modern standards in 2002. The plans from the 2002 renovation are attached for informational purposes. Additionally, detailed pictures and descriptions of the individual maintenance repairs required have been attached. This picture list will be the scope of work except as described below. Re-painting of all exterior painted surfaces. Resealing and repair of all flashing, including needed replacements. Reattachment of finials - finials on tower to be reattached using dowls and epoxy and all joints or cracks to be fully sealed. Soda blasting and repainting of ceiling tin. A bid alternate for replacement of tin with similar commonly available tin is to be included. It will be at the county's discretion which method is used. Repair of metal floor tiles, to match surrounding. A bid alternate for replacement of metal tiles is to be included. Standing seam roof replacement in kind. Morgan County Board of Commissioners are seeking bids for maintenance repair and exterior painting of the historic Courthouse.
