The scope of work consists of regular pumping, inspection, cleaning, appropriate disposal of any material as a result of the work, and yearly inspections to properly maintain the tank levels for two (2) sanitary holding tanks (5,000 gallons each) located at the Harano Tunnels, Interstate Route H-3, Oahu, Hawaii. The Hawaii Products Preference pursuant to ACT 175, SLH 2009 is applicable to this project. Person wishing to certify and qualify a product as a Hawaii Product shall submit a Certification for Hawaii Product Preference (SPO Form 38) to the Department of Transportation Contracts Office no later than 4:30 p.m., 14 calendar days prior to the bid opening date. Late submittals for this project will not be reviewed by the Department. Any protest of this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to the Director of Transportation, in accordance with 103D-701, HRS and 3-126, HAR. Contractors are hereby notified of the applicability of Section 11-355, HRS, which states that campaign contributions are prohibited from specified State or County government contractors during the term of the contract if the contractors are paid with funds appropriated by a legislative body.
