Streetlight Repair and Rehabilitation Services Required by City Code Sec. 70-456 et seq. DBE CONTRACT GOAL 35% (Attached) The intent of this Invitation to bid is to obtain a one (1) year city-wide requirements contract, for streetlight repair; restoration of knocked down poles; restoration of City owned conductors and conduits; upgrading or replacing luminaires; painting streetlight poles; brackets, and fixtures; tree trimming; trenching, directional drilling, and other related services as needed in connection with City owned streetlights. The Contractor shall take no action under this Contract unless specifically requested by the City, which shall submit a written purchase order for work performed or project delivered to the Contractor. The City reserves the right to cancel purchase orders within a reasonable period after issuance. The City agrees to reimburse the Contractor for actual and documented costs incurred by the Contractor pursuant to the cancelled purchase order. The City will not reimburse the Contractor for any costs incurred after receipt of cancellation, or for lost profits, or performance of services prior to issuance of a purchase order. Each basic street light repair shall consist of the following: o Inspection for damaged or missing pole, support arm, or luminaire components o Inspection for proper pole, support arm, and/or luminaire alignment o Inspection for tree branch or other interference o Inspection and replacement, if missing, of inventory ID. Replacement inventory ID shall be placed approximately five feet from the ground and visible by oncoming traffic. o Inspection for water penetration into street light components o Date code replacement lamps, photo controls, and luminaires o Clean reflector and refractor with glass cleaner o Remove all trash within the luminaire or pole. o All debris shall be removed from the work site for proper disposal. o All repair records shall include the ID of every streetlight affected by the work order. o Salvageable materials may be re-used except non-electronic photo controls. **Purchasing Conf.
