street improvements consisting of 4,200 tons of asphaltic concrete paving, 2,950 tons of asphaltic concrete patching, 25,684 S.Y. of cement stabilized base course, 26,940 S.Y. of lime treatment, 22,742 S.Y. of 2" cold planning and other related miscellaneous items of work, including all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, etc., required as set forth in the Bid Documents of Morgan Goudeau & Associates, Inc. for Street Improvements for the Town of Port Barre. Bid Documents are available and may be seen and examined at the Clerk's Office, Port barre, Louisiana, or at the office of Morgan Goudeau & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, Opelousas, Louisiana.On other sets of documents furnished to said prime bidders, the payment of $75.00 dollars shall constitute the cost of reproduction and handling and WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to Johnny Ardoin, Mayor, Town of Port Barre, Louisiana and plainly marked on the outside, "Bid for Townwide Street Improvements MGA Project S#563". Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount equal to 5% of the bid, made payable to the Town of Port Barre Louisiana, as a guarantee that the bidder will furnish all necessary bonds and enter into a contract if his bid is accepted. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570 and be licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
