Request for Proposals - Professional Design Services Phase Ii Solids Handling Improvements The Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) is requesting proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide complete design services for the installation of Multiple Hearth Incinerator Upgrades at the ACUA's City Island Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1801 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, NJ 80401. This project shall include the design of a Wet Scrubber, Two Stage Thermal Oxidizer using a Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP), Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) and returning the top hearth of the "B" Furnace to a drying hearth. Other related systems and upgrades required as a result of these improvements for the multiple hearth incinerator shall be considered and incorporated into the design documents. The ACUA also anticipates replacing the Venturi and Scrubber System for the "A" Furnace. Anticipated Contract Award May 19, 2022 Notice to Proceed June 2022 50% Design submittal December 2022 90% Design Submittal April 2023 100% Construction Documents June 2023 The Authority assumes no liability for any cost incurred by proposers in responding to this RFP or in responding to any further request for interviews, additional information, etc. prior to the issuance of the contract.
