Site work and paving for a road / highway in Smithfield Township, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
All bids must be accompanied by a BID GUARANTY in the form of (1) A Certified Check, or Revocable Letter of Credit pursuant to Chapter 1305, ORC, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of base bid plus all alternates; or (2) a Bid Bond drawn upon an acceptable Surety Company, for the full amount of the bid plus all alternates, one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, both forms of guaranty as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code. The bid guaranty shall be made unconditionally payable to the Board of Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Ohio. All bid guarantees shall be conditioned that if the bid is accepted within sixty (60) days of the bid opening, a proper contract shall be executed and that upon failure or refusal to enter into said contract within ten (10) days after receipt of notification of award the bidder and the surety on any bond shall be liable to the County in an amount not to exceed ten (10%) percent of the bid. The successful bidder, upon receipt of the Notice of Acceptance of the bid, must furnish a Performance Bond in an amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract amount, to the Board of Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Ohio, said Bonds to be unconditionally payable to the Board of County Commissioners.
