Sealed proposals sent through the mail shall be mailed to: Town of Salisbury Planning Department, 5 Beach Road, Salisbury, MA. 01952. Proposals sent through the mail shall be marked "Forest Road Sidewalk Improvements Project - Bid Proposal". In general, the work of this project includes the installation of 500 LF +/- of cement concrete sidewalk, granite curbing, related pavement repair, landscape restoration, and safety controls for vehicular and pedestrian management. Construction for this project is anticipated to begin on or about June 1, 2022.Project funding requires all work to be completed by June 30, 2022 The bidding for and award of the contract for this project are to be in accordance with the requirements of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30 39M. Bidders are on notice that this project is funded through a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development. This project is subject to the schedule of state prevailing wage rates. MassDOT pre-qualification of Contractors with the class of work, as Highway - Sidewalk and Curbing, for this project with an estimated value of $125,748.00 is required for this project. All bidders must be MassDOT pre-qualified in order to take out "Official" bid documents. Contractors seeking "Informational Only" bid documents are not required to be MassDOT pre-qualified. The Proposal Guaranty shall be in the form of either cash, bid bond, certified check, bank treasurer's check, or bank cashier's check, made payable to the Town of Salisbury in the amount of 5% of the value of the Bid. A performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, will be required in the form described in the Information for Bidders Bid documents can be acquired from the Salisbury Planning Department, 5 Beach Road, Salisbury, MA 01952 A separate remittance should be submitted for each set of bid documents requested in money order, certified check, bank treasurer's check, or bank cashier's check, made payable to the Town of Salisbury, MA. Contract Documents will also be available for viewing at the Salisbury Planning Department at the address stated above. The Owner may waive any informality or reject any and all bids.
